In January 09, our small town issued a cease and desist order for our small dog care business based on the complaint of one neighbor who said it "interfered with the quiet enjoyment" of his empty rental property next door and "negatively effected its value". We were successful, growing, responsible, paid our taxes, cleaned our neighborhood regularly, and participated in town events. We were able to pay our mortgage and bills. We are located in a commercially zoned area with a dog groomer on one side, car rental business across the street (in residential zoning), and car repair 2 doors away. The new library is also on our street.
